You may have to worry about toys that aren't always safe, but at least you don't need to worry about toxic pet toys the way you do with children's toys, right? Actually, pet toys that contain toxic materials have been recalled in the past, too.

Some things you can do to make exposure to toxins less likely are:

Look for toys made with organic materials. Avoid cheap toys that were manufactured in countries that have had problems with toxic products in the past. Make sure you check company websites for any recall notices on a regular basis.
