July 24, 2009, Newsletter Issue #27: Avoid Floor Products Hazardous to Pets

Tip of the Week

When you have big, energetic dogs, cleaning the floor can be an almost constant chore. It makes sense to look for ways to save time and energy with your work. However, not all those time saving products are the safest choices. As you shop for cleaners, make sure to avoid floor products hazardous to pets.

Look for green options. These cleaners often are much safer to use than traditional cleaners. Thoroughly read all cleaning product labels before you buy them. If they warn you to avoid eye or skin contact, you'll need to use extreme caution when using them in your home and you should completely avoid using them in areas your pets have access to.
