The garage is a potentially deadly place for pets to be. There are often quite a few poisonous products stored in our garages and pets and poison simply do not mix. Before you put your pooch in the garage, take a look around to make sure all potential toxins are out of reach.
A few of the things you'll want to check for include:
Fluids for the car. Be especially careful to store antifreeze where pets cannot reach it. A locked upper cabinet is a good spot. Extra gasoline. It makes sense to put the gas can beside the lawn mower, but if your pet can reach it, you may want to find another spot to store your gas. Pesticide and rat or mouse bait. Anything that could kill a small animal could make your four legged friend very ill or could prove fatal.
