You love watching all the shows where pets do amazing tricks and you've decided that you want to try training a pet to perform tricks, too. Since your little Fido is just as smart as many of the other dogs you see, you know it is possible, but you aren't sure how to start. Is there a trick to training pets?
The big secret behind every amazing pet trick is that the pet didn't learn one trick. Instead, it learned several tricks that were combined to make the big pet trick. For example, if a dog uses the phone as a trick, the trainer actually taught it five individual tricks. It learned to go to the phone, knock the phone off of the cradle, pick up a pencil or other skinny object, press buttons and then bark into the phone. When the dog does all of the tricks in sequence, it uses the phone.
