June 18, 2010, Newsletter Issue #73: New Pet Travel Tip

Tip of the Week

You're buying a new pet and having it shipped to your home. You are so excited and can't wait to see your newest family member, but you're a bit nervous about the whole shipping arrangement. Is there a new pet travel tip or two that can help things go smoothly?

Be sure you are dealing with a reputable breeder. Ask for references and give them a call to verify that they bought a pet and were happy with it. Ask the breeder to call you or email you after the pet is dropped off to confirm that it made the flight. Arrive at the airport when the pet's flight is scheduled to arrive. Waiting a few hours to pick up your pet subjects it to unneeded additional stress.
