You don't expect your kitty to mewl on command or sit up and beg, but it would be nice if it would learn a few simple things, like coming when it was called. Are there any basic cat training tips you can use?
Teaching a cat simple commands involves patience and a good understanding of how cats think. Cats are able to learn to do things, but need the proper motivation to do so. Sometimes, offering a special cat treat every time your cat comes is the right reward. For other cats, a nice belly rub is more exciting. Keep training sessions very short and concentrate on one command at a time.
